Tau Beta Pi welcomes new class of inductees
November 21, 2019
The Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society recently inducted 29 new members into its Mississippi State University chapter.
Membership in Tau Beta Pi is by invitation only. New members are selected each semester based on grade point average, with juniors needing to rank in the top 12.5 percent and seniors in the top 20 percent of their respective classes. Additionally, there are major-specific requirements for invitation. Students must also demonstrate distinguished scholarship and exemplary character.
Tau Beta Pi is active in a variety of university and community-based outreach activities, most notably providing tutoring during the fall and spring semesters for most of the math and science courses that are required classes for all engineering students.
