Mississippi State University’s electrical and computer engineering department will highlight senior design projects during an open house Thursday, April 23 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. in Simrall Electrical Engineering Building (406 Hardy Road).
The open house, which is open to the public, will allow 16 student teams to showcase creative engineering projects developed through a semester of design work.
The 16 designs on display will include a traffic sensor to detect blind spots, a bicycle activity tracker and a safety lighting system for crosswalks. The Mississippi State 2015 IEEE Southeast Conference robotics team will also display its robotic entry at the open house.
Each team consists of four to five senior electrical and computer engineering students and a faculty adviser.
