Letter from the Dean: September 2023

Dear Faculty, Staff, Students and Friends of the Bagley College of Engineering:

I hope the fall semester has gotten off to a great start for each of you. I am pleased to present some of our most recent news, notes and highlights:

• Biological engineering alumnae Evann Darnell Berry was named Outstanding Young Alumna.
• Glo, a startup company co-founded by electrical engineering alumnus Hagan Walker, and supported by the MSU E-Center, has been named to the 2023 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing private companies in America.
• A multidisciplinary Mississippi State University team is accelerating its efforts to support the development and growth of Vicksburg area technology companies with new funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
• Congrats to industrial and systems engineering associate professor Reuben Burch for his recent promotion to associate vice president in the Office of Research and Economic Development.
• Check out this video from computer science and engineering associate clinical professor George Trawick about the Scholarships for Service award from the National Science Foundation.
