Five Mississippi State engineering students are among the 15 students statewide who were recently recognized by the Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association.
The five Bagley College of Engineering students will each receive a $2,500 scholarship that can be put towards educational expenses. Scholarship winners will also receive one on one mentoring from a MAMA member in their region and the opportunity to participate in job skills workshops.
“The Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association provides scholarships for ambitious students with an interest in an automotive career to become the next leaders of our industry,” said Kevin Burgess, president of MAMA. “I congratulate this group of excellent students who received this year’s Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association Scholarships, and wish them success in completing their degree, followed by a successful start in our industry!”

Founded in 2006, the Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association promotes the growth, development and improvement of the automotive industry in the state of Mississippi. The organization has awarded more than $280,000 in scholarships to students in academic fields that can be applied to the automotive industry.
