Engineering Recruitment Leaders welcomes new class
March 12, 2021
The Bagley College of Engineering student group responsible for helping to recruit prospective students has added 17 new members to its ranks.
The Engineering Recruitment Leaders serve as ambassadors for Mississippi State’s Bagley College of Engineering. Specifically, they assist with engineering campus visits, Fall & Spring Preview Days, Academic Insight and communicating with incoming and prospective students.
“We’re excited to welcome these new members for the 2021 Engineering Recruitment Leader class,” said Joy Smith, the admissions coordinator for the BCoE and the group’s advisor. “These students do such a great job of promoting the Bagley College of Engineering and their help in all aspects of the recruiting process is invaluable.”
Students interested in becoming ERLs go through an extensive interview process. Once selected as an ERL, students hold a one-year term in the organization. However, according to Smith, most members remain as an ERL until graduation.
