Letter from the Dean: April 2023

It has been a great spring semester in the Bagley College of Engineering. When Mississippi State University was formed by the Morrill Act in 1862, I am sure that the vision of those who supported this critical policy for our nation would be proud to see how our students, staff and faculty have met and exceeded their expectations. Coming off of a highly successful spring Dean’s Advisory Council meeting, I am pleased to tell you about some of our most recent points of pride in the Bagley College:

• The ASEE Diversity Recognition Program has accepted reaffirmation at the Bronze Level for your institution for another three years.

• Civil & Environmental Engineering associate professor John Ramirez and research associate II Dr. Sandra Ortega-Achury led a highly successful water-focused outreach day with the Starkville Oktibbeha County School District.
