The Bagley College of Engineering’s Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems Extension (CAVS-E) has had more than a $4 billion economic impact on the state. CAVS-E, based in Canton, has worked with more than 50 Mississippi companies providing them with engineering expertise and sophisticated computer modeling to create efficient work processes, manufacturing design and quality control. Clay Walden, director of CAVS-E, joins the SuperTalk Mississippi radio show, “On Deadline with Sid Salter,” to explain how the center’s efforts helped create and retain 1,600 high-wage jobs in the state.
