Bagley College welcomes Buzz Aldrin for 2016 Global Lecture Series

STARKVILLE, Miss. – After making his mark on history by walking on the moon, an American hero will soon make a mark on the campus of Mississippi State University.
The Bagley College of Engineering joins the MSU Student Association in welcoming Buzz Aldrin as the speaker for MSU’s 2016 Global Lecture Series in February.
The Global Lecture Series will take place in Bettersworth Auditorium on February 9, 2016. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free. Tickets are required for this event and will be available in Colvard Student Union Suite 314 starting January 19th for students. Faculty/staff and general public tickets will be available on January 20th.
As one of three American astronauts to make the 1969 journey to the moon, Aldrin was one of the first men to walk on the moon. The crew of the Apollo 11 mission, including Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins, made this historic moment while the largest worldwide television audience in history watched.
“We are excited to host Buzz Aldrin as part of our 2016 Global Lecture Series,” said Jason Keith, Dean of Engineering. “His name is instantly recognizable, and the entire college is looking forward to hearing him talk about his experience.”
