Mississippi State University Esports team claims second consecutive Egg Bowl win

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s Esports team has secured bragging rights for the second consecutive year, defeating Ole Miss in the annual Egg Bowl with a 4-3 victory.
The 7th Annual Egg Bowl occurred at The Pavillion on the University of Mississippi’s campus this past October. The MSU victory extended the all-time championship gap to 5-2 in favor of MSU.
Club president Will Bratton praised the victory, noting the challenges the team faced and the dedication of its team members.
"Winning our second consecutive Esports Egg Bowl is a massive achievement for Mississippi State and our organization,” Bratton said. “With the unwavering support of our community, we rallied around 100 players, staff, and fans to flood Oxford in maroon, creating an atmosphere that felt like home.”
The 8th Annual Esports Egg Bowl is scheduled for October 2025 in Starkville.
