Dear Faculty, Staff, Students and Friends of the Bagley College of Engineering:
I hope your summer is off to a great start. We had an incredible graduation week in early May, celebrating with parents and students, where we unofficially hooded 22 PhD’s and congratulated 55 MS, 3 MEng and 561 BS degrees in engineering or computer science.
I am pleased to share with you some of our most recent stories:
Computer Science and Engineering assistant professor Adam Jones has received a National Science Foundation CAREER award for his work in virtual reality and neuroscience.
Agricultural and Biological Engineering faculty Amirtaha Taebi has developed new methods for early detection and monitoring of cardiovascular disease.
Several engineering faculty and staff were honored at a ceremony for excellence in teaching and advising. Those recognized include chemical engineering professor Julie Jessop, electrical and computer engineering assistant clinical professor David Wallace, technical writing instructor I Aaron Grimes, electrical and computer engineering program coordinator Kylie Crosland and electrical and computer engineering academic coordinator and advisor Alison Stamps.
I wanted to thank everyone for their time and attention to the draft BCoE strategic plan. We have taken the feedback collected and made some revisions to the document. The new draft is seen at the website below: https://www.bagley.msstate.edu/bcoe-transformational-plan/. This is a living document, and we will be glad to consider adaptations to this as we move forward with execution of this plan. Again, for reference, the MSU plan is seen here: https://www.msstate.edu/transformation/strategic-plan.
