Srishti named outstanding female graduate student

Each year an anonymous donor funds a scholarship to recognize an outstanding female graduate student in the CSE department. This year’s winner is Srishti Srivastava. Srishti completed her B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from Uttar Pradesh Technical University in India and was awarded a MS degree in computer science from MSU in 2010. She is currently a PhD student in the department working with Dr. Ioana Banicescu. Srishti is conducting work in the area of dynamic load balancing, robustness analysis and autonomic computing. She has published one book chapter and seven conference papers and presented her work with five posters at various conferences. She is the recipient of the Bagley College of Engineering Graduate Fellowship Award and was awarded the best paper award at the IEEE International Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Computing in 2011.
